    Would there be a reason why my backups would not restore? I usually would choose the date, click restore, and select all the options for the back up. It stalled for 20 minutes and did not show any progress. I tried again, just by starting with the plugins and still nothing… Any suggestions?

    Hi,

    To help us work out the cause of your problem, can you please send us a copy of the restoration log only?
    You can find this log in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory of your site via FTP.
    You can send the log file and copy the contents into an online tool (such as https://pastebin.com/ )

    Honestly, I am not sure where to find the “log file”. If it matters, my backup go to my Google Drive. Can you explain further how to retrieve the directory?

    I’m also using Google Drive and I’m having the same issue. I opened a topic almost a week ago. Bryle gave me the same reply but I haven’t heard from him since.

    the log file is in the backup/restore tab, you can get it by clicking “view log” next to a backup (including unfinished ones)

    @lydianas- can you post your backup and restoration log in your thread

    Still unable to restore from a past backup. Any examples of why that is? Shouldn’t I just be able to click on “restore”, select all the components, click “next” and wait for the process to start on each section? I does not show any progress and it’s been supposedly “downloading backup files if needed” for the past hour. Help please.
