I use Woocommerce with the “Gelato Integration for WooCommerce” plugin. The plugin creates Woocommerce API and Webhooks. Everything worked fine until last week. (Maybe because I updated the Shield Security plugin? I don’t know). API connection (and Webhooks) in Woocommerce were lost without previous manual changes. After long conversations with the “Gelato Integration for WooCommerce” plugin client support and passing information to their developers, I got an answer that their side works well. They suggested disabling the Shield Security plugin and then reconnecting their plugin to get API and Webhooks working.

I unchecked “Anonymous Rest API disable” in Shield Security – it didn’t help.

“Rest API Exclusions” have a Woocommerce namespace.

I disabled the Shield Security plugin > General > Disable Shield Security > Enable Shield Security Protection > unchecked. It worked. API and Webhooks started to work after I connected the “Gelato Integration for WooCommerce” plugin.
Later, I enabled the Shield Security plugin > General > Disable Shield Security > Enable Shield Security Protection > checked. Woocommerce API stopped working again, while the “Gelato Integration for WooCommerce” plugin showing connection with their servers Failed.

The Shield Security plugin started to block API connections. How to make Woocommerce API work again? I checked Shield Security help topics about API and plugin settings and did not find anything useful.
Do you have any suggestions on how to solve this?

    Hi,

Sorry to hear about the troubles you are having with this.

Can you re-enable Shield, reproduce the problem and then:

Check the Activity Log detailed here… are there any notices coming up in there about blocks? Once you have this, then we can help out with what might need to be adjusted.

The Activity Log is the best place to look first for anything being blocked as it’ll tell you precisely what’s happening.

Let us know what you find in there.

    Thanks,

    Jelena

I disabled Shield Security protection > used API > OK.
I enabled Shield Security protection > used API > Failed.

The Shield Security Activity section shows a few different IPs (Amazon services) and the same informational message>

    “Unidentified and not authenticated “
    “Session Locked
Core properties of an established user session () have changed. Logging out.”

please go to Config > User Management and disable all session lock options.
