Contact form uploads auto compress

  • On our website we have a contact form for people where they can upload a max of 5 pictures. Because of the limitations in size they can only be 5 mb per photo. I already tried to make this bigger, but that didn’t work with our emailing system. So the uploaded pictures need to be compressed. A lot of the people that use our contact form don’t have a lot of technical skills and many times they are having problems with uploading their pictures because the files are too big. Is it possible to have the files compressed automatically? So that the users only has to upload their files, whenever the image is bigger than 5 mb, it will be compressed to something smaller?

    Get a better emailing system? 5MB attachment limit? What year are we in? Even free Gmail offers 25MB!

    That will be up to whatever contact form plugin you’re for these image uploads.

    Yes the total is 25 MB, so that makes the maximum size per attachment (picture) 5 MB, as they can upload 5 pictures.

    That will be up to whatever contact form plugin you’re for these image uploads.

    So… which plugin are you using?
