• Hi everyone, my players are stopping after each track when testing on my iPhone Safari browser, even though I have not selected that setting on the Add New Playlist pages.

I am pretty much tech semi-illiterate, so anyone who can give me a soft explanation as to why this would be… thank you very much in advance ??

    Hi there,

Everything seems normal. Can you share the Safari version you have? Are you certain these files you are using are supported?

thanks for checking and replying, my safari is up to date on my iPhone, the problem does not occur on my desktop… it works for on iPhone as long as the screen is not “sleeping” but as soon as it is, due to having been left alone for a few minutes, the problem occurs at that time… is that just unavoidable or is there a way around it somehow?

    Hi there,

    This is the default behaviour

AudioIgniter is not a standalone application, its a plugin in WordPress which runs inside a browser.

Mobile phones will not allow any browser to run in the background. So their process is stoped.

If you need your site to behave like a native app, and allow to play continues please check PWA https://web.dev/explore/progressive-web-apps technology.

hi thanks for quick responses I suspected that was the case please excuse my ignorance. I just needed to check…. No worries, we are already thinking about PWA so if that fixes this problem also, that’s very useful to know. All the best!
