I am encountering a massive lag before page load when the woocommerce plugin is activated. I have a rough idea that it’s maybe to do with php but am not technical.

I have another website, on the same hosting, same theme, with more plugins, more heavy images and it loads just fine.

    Hi @shacktak,

Have you had a chance to disable the Order Attribution feature? You can find it under WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > Features. After disabling it, check if it resolves the issue.

We introduced this new feature in the latest version, which loads additional resources on the front end. This could be the reason behind the loading issues you’re experiencing.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi and thanks,

Unfortunately that does not help, my other website has this activated and is fine.

I just cannot understand it, it will barely load with Woo activated, but is like lightning when off.

Driving me mad it’s so slow.

    Hi @shacktak,

I understand how frustrating slow load times can be.

However, it’s interesting that your other site with the same hosting and theme doesn’t have this issue. It suggests that the problem might not be with the WooCommerce plugin itself, but possibly with how it interacts with other aspects of your site.

Did you contact your hosting provider? They can help identify if there’s a server-side issue causing the slow load times.

In the meantime, you can run a conflict test to help you identify the cause of the issue. More info: https://woo.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

Let us know how that goes for you.

@shameemreza this seems to be related to the latest woocommerce update, not specifically to the order attribution feature (altough it does affect speed). Something is wrong.

    Hey, @blclda!

Thanks for the insight. ?? But as my colleague mentioned, since on their other website the plugins is running smoothly, this can be cause by something external.

Are you having speed issues on your website too? If you are, per WordPress forum guidelines, would you mind opening up a new thread for this so that we can keep things organized and offer more personalized support for you? We’ll be happy to help you out with this over there!

    Have a wonderful day!
