@dizzyatinnocraft I get no error message via email and there is also no error message in the server log. WordPress just shows me, that it has a problem and disables all access to the backend. My hosting provider is webgo. Going back to 4.15.3 solves the problem.

Thanks @coholm, I think I see the problem. Would you be able to disable the MarketingCampaignsReporting plugin, then try to use Matomo 5.0.2? If this works, removing and re-installing the MarketingCampaignsReporting plugin from the marketplace should allow to use 5.0.2.

Just as an update. I had the same critical error. Deleting all Matomo plugins and re-installing them helped to solve that problem.

We should have a fix for this issue out by tomorrow. You’ll still have to update Matomo plugins since the older versions won’t be compatible with Matomo 5, but the WP back office will be accessible, and you’ll be able to update these plugins in the Matomo marketplace.
