    Hi, we experienced a conflict with WP Media Folder and WP File Download (Joomunited.com). The support told us, that this is because you’re using guzzle library 6.4.1 while the current version is 7.3. Is it possible to update the library within BackWpup to have a better compatibility? Thanks

  • I’ve been having this same problem for months. It (and similar) problems are caused by plugin conflicts which BackWPup seems to have a lot of, I believe it is due to a lack of scoping. I’ve switched to another backup solution because it doesn’t seem like the devs here are able to fix this issue properly (my last thread about it was closed without any solution).

    Same problem here, there is a Plugin conflict with HeroThemes Heroic Knowledge Base Plugin which uses the latest GuzzleHTTP v7.8.1, but BackWPup uses a very old version of this library, v6.5.8. The Dev Team of BackWPup should update it. @niklasinpsyde

    Same for me, removed the backwpup plugin

    @davehealey – did you find an alternative plugin that you like? Which was it?

    @mikehealy – nice name.

    No I didn’t find a plugin that was as simple to use as this but my hosting provider offers a backup system so I’m using that instead.

    @davehealey – fair enough! I’m thinking of just using the Folder backup location, then writing my own script to offload to S3 using the AWS SDK separately to WordPress.

    The other thing I don’t like about this plugin is it can’t restore backups. You have to get the premium version for that.

    @davehealey The Free version for now doesn’t have an automatic restore feature, but you can manually do a restore, we are working to add an automatic restore feature to the Free version! Stay tune!

    And about the library conflict, we are aware of that and have a solid solution for it, thank you for reporting!

    Excellent!

    Any update on when you’re going to resolve the library conflict?
