    Hi,

We are using office 365 mail in WP site to for emails. Now we are planning to enable MFA. Is there something special with the SMTP connection settings for Word Press to facilitate MFA?

    Kindly guide.

    Thanks.

  • Hi @hemasusi,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Please kindly know that the access token on your Azure account becomes invalid whenever there’s a Microsoft account-related change (such as password change, enabling/disabling multi-factor authentication, etc).

If this occurs, you’ll have to refresh the token by reconnecting your 365/Outlook connection.

To do this, go to?WP Mail SMTP > Settings?and remove the current Microsoft Outlook mailer connection by clicking the?Remove OAuth Connection?button. (https://i.imgur.com/QAorF6y.png)

Then reconnect again by clicking on the?Allow plugin to send emails using your Microsoft account?button and?Save Settings?to re-enable access.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks ??

    Hi @nasanansi

I don’t see Authorization ‘Remove oauth connection’ button in WP Mail SMTP> Settings. Instead seeing only authentication on/off – https://prnt.sc/RuVWs2N45kxi

    Hi,

Currently we are using WP Mail SMTP free version. Here are the settings we have.

    Mailer : Other SMTP (https://prnt.sc/sNGL57llXFVE)

SMTP Host, Username, Password and Port

For the MFA enabled Microsoft 365 Email ID, should I choose Mailer as ‘?365 / Outlook’ (Available only in Pro version) or can i use existing settings?

Is there any impact using MFA enabled Microsoft 365 Email ID in existing settings?

    Thanks.
