Duplicate Yoast Meta Descriptions

    Ahrefs keeps reporting duplicate meta info on our site. I checked the page source and I see it. It looks like one is being generated for the page and another for the header. I used a header builder for this site but did not input anything in the Yoast fields for the header but two iterations are still being generated. This is happening on every single page.

    I don’t know for sure that the header is the problem but when I turn off the plugin that I used to create the header (Royal Elementor Add ons), the duplicate meta disappears so I think it may be. Is there a way to keep Yoast from generating duplicate meta for the header?

    Thanks for reaching out. I can confirm two meta descriptions on your homepage, which points to a bigger problem. There are actually duplicate meta tags from Yoast SEO and other plugin such as Elementor. You can confirm by searching for <link rel="dns-prefetch" href="//hcaptcha.com"> and <meta name="generator" content="Elementor 3.18.3;

    Your theme is the likely cuplrit; you can confirm by switching to a default WordPress theme. Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Two.
