SEO Issue / Links cannot be crawled

    Hi !

    I have a little SEO issue with the plugin.

    Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest icons cannot be crawled by Google robots because there is a little window opening above them when I want to click for sharing.

    The button is in this new window but not directly on the icons and it’s a problem because it impact my SEO rank on PageSpeed.

    Do you have a solution to put links directly on the icons ?

  • The icons are images right?

    You can put icons straight on images without having to add a drop-down/up thing.

    Also when it comes to SEO, I don’t think there is an issue for Google to crawl your links as long as they exist. However if i go to your webpage. I cant right click to inspect it. And when i open the inspector with Ctrl+Shft+I i just see your lightbox overlay.

    Is getting maximum possible score in terms of SEO in Google tool.

    The “tooltip” you see above the share icons is actually part of the icon and URL included there is part of the site.

    Here’s report from Google PageSpeed I’ve done for your site:

    It received score of 100 in SEO category which is maximum amount it can get, our USM plugin takes care of all required tags and standards requested by search engines such as Google to rank it as high as possible by default. It happens out of the box.

    Not sure which tool you used, but Google’s lighthouse is the only one tool that you should look at, others are not dedicated or supported by any search engine.

    I tested multiple times and sometime I got 100 on SEO ranking and sometime it drop to 92 because of those icons so it’s very weird. But you’re right I think it’s just a problem with Pagespeed analysis.

    Yes if I still have the problem I will do that but it’s easier with the plugin.
