• I use Post Duplicator by clicking on “Duplicate Post” which appears on mouseover of post in WordPress I wish to duplicate.
I then change the title using Quick Edit for the newly duplicated post, and also change it’s slug.
However, the resulting duplicated post never reflects the title change.
I cannot click on it and edit it, though I can change the body content.

I use this duplicator to preserve the format of posts so all I have to do is change the content. But the inability to change the title (or lack of my knowledge where else to look, and I’ve been using WordPress for decades) is baffling me.
Could you please tell me the correct way to change the duplicated post title?

Thanks for reaching out. What you’re doing is the correct way to change the post and slug. There is no functionality in the plugin that relates to anything besides cloning a post, so I’m not sure why this issue is happening.

Does the changed title and slug appear correct on the post listing screen? So, after using the Quick Edit, does it display correctly, even after refreshing that screen?

Are you just having issues with the title after this change, or the slug as well? Is it possible your theme use some other data to render the post title on the front end and there is some other post meta that also needs to be changed?

I would suggest running through the following article to see if there is another plugin or possibly something in your theme that is causing this to happen: https://www.metaphorcreations.com/article/general/plugins/test-plugin-conflicts/

Let me know what you find out.
