Hi @edtwodth – great question.

That kind of thing is definitely possible – it’s a change you’d need to make at the Template level. This also means you may need to make it a couple of times (for the page template, posts template etc).

Here’s some steps to follow..

1. In your template – select all the blocks (in my case the Header, Group, Footer) and Group them. You’ll want to set ‘Inner blocks use content width’ to be true – and set a width that you want for the boxed area

2. You’ll then need to once again select the main blocks (Header, Group, Footer) and group them another time. But this time turn ‘Inner blocks use content width’ to be off and set the group to be ‘Wide’ aligned. In my example I also added a background and border to the box to make it more obvious.

Hi, @jordesign, can’t really get it to work unfortunately. Where do I do this “set the group to be ‘Wide’ aligned” thing? If I set a background color, the entire page gets the color.
