Shipping Weight Calculations

  • Currently I have a shipping weight for the smart composite product which is an average / guess of what the customer will select.

    How do I get it instead to total up the shipping weight of the individually selected items within the composite product so I get a better estimate of the shipping weight total at checkout out?

    Do I just remove the shipping weight from the smart composite product to do this?

    For those looking for the answer I’ve found it – Set the shipping weight of the smart composite product to 0. In the components tab set the shipping fee to “apply to each component product” and then you’ll get an accurate weight calculation for all the items they’ve selected in the composite product.
