  • Same here. I don’t use Comments on my site and I don’t even make use of the comments template. I’ve used the comment-registration setting to make sure no spam comments via rest or xmlrpc or whatever can get through.

At the moment the plugin only checks for the WP Option ‘comment_registration’ and will popup this message as long as this site option is set.

Please make it actually dismissable or maybe someone has a better suggestion for cases like this?

Experiencing the same issue here, cannot get rid of the nag message.

    Hi,
I have the same problem but with ” WPS Hide Login: Please note that the comment_registration option “Users must be registered and logged in to comment” is activated on your site, the connection link will not be hidden on the comments block.
The latest version 1.9.13? doesn’t change anything! And this, on several sites.

Yeah, can confirm. The message comes back after a couple of page reloads. The same message as @nicolas-leclerc.

Clearing cache after dismissing the nag message, then reloading the page, the message comes back every single time.

    Check if transient exist :
    – disable-notice-warning-comments
    – disable-notice-warning-comment-registration
