Ultimate Member Plug-in Conflict with Gravity Perks Populate Anything

    We use Gravity Forms with Gravity Perk’s Populate Anything Perk. There is a conflict with Ultimate Member Version 2.8.1.

    According to Gravity Forms Tech Support this was an issue introduced in Ultimate Member 2.8, due to Ultimate Member changing jQuery AJAX behavior globally on the frontend.

    I understand that Gravity Forms has alerted the UM Support Team of this conflict and that the team is working on a fix to be contained in 2.8.2.

    Gravity Forms recommended that reach out to the Ultimate Member Support Team support team to see if I can get an early build of Ultimate Member 2.8.2 that contains the fix.

    Version 2.8.2, which fixes this issue, will be released very soon. You can download it from the Ultimate Member public repository if you need a solution now.

    I downloaded Ver 2.8.2 and installed it on our WordPress site. After the install, I received an error message that the plugin was installed into the wrong folder.

    Ver 2.8.1 was deactivated when I did the new plug-in install.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Verify the plugin folder, rename if needed. A proper folder name for this plugin is ultimate-member. GitHab can change the folder name when you download a ZIP file. In this case you have to unpack the downloaded file, rename a folder and pack a new ZIP file to use it in the plugin installer.

    Note: You have to deactivate and delete an old version before installing a new version from the ZIP file.

    Note: the plugin does not remove data on uninstall if the “Remove Data on Uninstall?” setting is turned off. This setting is turned off by default.

    Rename with cPanel Filemanager or your FTP client

    the current UM folder ultimate-member to ultimate-member-281
    and the downloaded UM folder from ultimatemember-2.8.2 to ultimate-member

    Now I have two Ultimate Member Plug-ins installed (2.8.2 is activated) and I cannot delete the deactivated 2.8.1 version from the Plug-in’s page.

    Conflict is resolved though

    You need to delete it manually (from cpanel for example).
