PLUGIN ABANDONED

    We’re starting to observe issues with PHP 8.2 and/or WordPress 6.4.2. Can you confirm if you’re still supporting this plugin or plan to release updates soon?

    Thank you WPKube! I’m not allowed to share specific info, but here is error we were seeing, when we noticed the Blog Posts page was displaying abnormally:

    Deprecated: Creation of dynamic property Advanced_Excerpt::$plugin_file_path is deprecated in […]/wp-content/plugins/advanced-excerpt/class/advanced-excerpt.php on line 41

    The issue went away after deactivating the plugin.

    Thanks for taking the time! I can reach out to our client to see if they are willing to share more info, if you need it. This site is on PHP 8.2 and WP Core 6.4.2.

    That’s the only issue. I’m glad to see you’re still supporting the plugin. Thank you for letting us know.

    The update that fixes that issue is released. I haven’t noticed any other problems, if you run into anything let me know and we’ll sort it out.

    Hi @wpkube,

    there are other problems with the previous and the current version of the plugin – namely the stripping of html tags in excerpts due to the block editor.
