Hi, firstly – thank you for your hard work on this project. I was able to easily implement it on my test site and it looks very, very promising.

If at all possible it would be very useful to be able to upload files via the embedded assistant chat. This is because my assistant asks the user for some information that it then analyses. At the moment there is no way to upload a file – if this became possible it would be very helpful ??

Please do let me know if I have missed something. Thank you again,

    Hello tinkeringwithwp (@tinkeringwithwp),

This is a high priority on the roadmap. I have already had several requests for this and plan to release something very soon.

There are several considerations that I’m working through that include file rentention at the point of upload and on OpenAI’s sever. I’m working through the best process for when, if and how they should me maintained and deleted.

I’ll leave this request open for now. Again, I hope to have this solved shortly.

    Hello?tinkeringwithwp?(@tinkeringwithwp),

I just updated the Chatbot ChatGPT to allow for file uploads to Assistants.

You’ll need to update to Ver 1.7.9.

Once you’re on the latest version, please go to:

Settings > Chatbot ChatGPT > GTP Assistants Allow File Uploads = Yes

Now, on either floating or embedded instances of the chatbot, you’ll see a paper clip icon that enables file uploads.

Please let me know how if you encounter any issues.

Thank you for your patience in waiting for this feature to be enabled.

    Stephen
