• Hi guys. I am going nuts with this. My RSS feed on my site: https://www.thesmythgroup.com/feed/

is giving me “Extra content at the end of the document” error and i can’t figure out why. If I disable all my plugins it works. I tried then re-enabling them one at a time and it worked the whole time. Then, it stopped working again. Any help?

The plugins i have active are: All in One SEO Pack
    Configure SMTP
    Contact Form 7
    Duplicate Post
    FancyBox for WordPress
    Flickr Gallery
    Google Analyticator
    Google XML Sitemaps
    Insere Iframe
    jQuery Lightbox
    Keyword Statistic
    MCE Table Buttons
    Merge Tags
    Secure WordPress
    SexyBookmarks
    TinyMCE Advanced
    Tiny Table
    Twitter Tools
    Viper’s Video Quicktags
    WP Super Cache
    WPtouch

  • You’ve got a server timeout problem. Found this at the bottom of your feed file:

Fatal error</b>: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in <b>D:\Hosting\3267899\html\wp-includes\class-http.php</b> on line <b>1402</b><br />

    Hi esmi,

Thank you very much. Two follow up questions:
    1) How did you find this? (what tools did you use?)
    2) Any idea how to fix this?

    Thank you so much!

    1. I simply checked the source of your RSS feed using Firefox.

    2. I think you need to start deactivating plugins. 1 or more of them is slowing everything right down. You have two lightbox plugins (Lightbox and Fancybox) – pick one and get rid of the other.

I’ve seen SexyBookmarks cause problems on other sites, so I personally wouldn’t use it. Keyword Statistic sounds like it could be a cpu hog, too.

    Dear esmi,

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I disabled those three plugins and that did it. You’re the best!

    Cool! Glad to have helped.

Do you have a blog or site that we can promote on our blog as a way to say thanks?

We’re new to WordPress (obviously), but we write iPhone apps.

I can usually be found hanging out on https://quirm.net/
