Why is all of this code in my Meta description? Tech support at Elegant themes though I should reach out to All in One SEO. (E.T. response below)

The Divi builder works like any other WordPress builder by using shortcodes.

Now looks like your SEO plugin may not be able to recognize the shortcodes and it adds them in the description.

You will need to contact the SEO plugin developer and ask them if the plugin was built to properly support pages built with page builders and if the case ask them to further investigate why the plugin is not working correctly.

Generally, the 3rd party plugins will work with the default WordPress builder, Gutenberg or with plain text, most of them may not be built to work with page builders and in such a case you may need to manually adjust your description.

Anyway for more specific information in this regard you will need to contact the SEO plugin developer ??

Let me know if you have any further questions, and I’ll be happy to help. ??”

So will anything go wrong if I delete that code? Thank you

    Hey @nocomputershappycamper,

We have a setting called “Run Shortcodes” under AIOSEO > Search Appearance > Advanced that is disabled by default and needs to be enabled in order for us to parse shortcodes when autogenerating descriptions. We disable this setting by default because it sometimes causes conflicts with third-party plugins and themes, but it should work fine with Divi since we officially support them.

Let me know if that makes sense.
