HI I have installed and done the setup for the google listing and ads plugin.

Right now It shows that my product will be visible google search after 3-5 days.

My questions is on 4th step it’s asking for to create/connect google ads account which I don’t want to do it.

Must I need to create google ads account to show my product to google merchant center?

Will the product sync work with the merchant center without google ads account connected to the plugin?

    I have attached screenshot for 4th step – https://drive.google.com/file/d/16uSX91EU6pFsrAsddJeOOV-q4G8uwACq/view?usp=sharing

    Hi @prashantajani,

    Thanks for reaching out!

The Google Listings and Ads plugin does indeed require a Google Ads account to be connected to function properly. This is necessary because the plugin uses the Google Ads account to manage and sync your product feed with Google Merchant Center.

That said, you do not actually need to run any ads or campaigns on Google Ads for your products to be visible in Google Search. The requirement is simply to have the account connected.

I understand you might have concerns about this, but rest assured that creating a Google Ads account does not obligate you to spend any money on ads. It’s merely a requirement for the plugin to function and sync your products. You can learn more here: https://woo.com/document/google-listings-and-ads/

I hope this clarifies things for you.

Hi I have done the setup as you have suggested.

After setup when I go to the Google listing & ads page under > Product Feed tab it shows blank page after on popup error.

After load on screen it shows error message – “An error occurred while retrieving your product feed. Please try again later.”

Please let me know what can be the issue, I have also checked the logs and added below screenshot links for same details.

    Hi there @prashantajani ??

After setup when I go to the Google listing & ads page under > Product Feed tab it shows blank page after on popup error.

After load on screen it shows error message – “An error occurred while retrieving your product feed. Please try again later.”

My suggestion would be to make sure the following values are set, as a minimum. The site’s PHP time limit set to 300, PHP Post Max at 1000 and the WP Memory limit at 256 MB.

Furthermore, it is best to check if the issue persists, while having only the WooCommerce and Google Listings & Ads plugins activated.

Let us know how that goes, please.

Hi I just checked memory_limit on server it is 1024M and others are more than you suggested, To check with only tow plugin activate it’s not possible since is live.

Is there a way I can find where it’s taking long for request in plugin so I can pinpoint the issue.

Also please let me know what do about shipping and returns setting ? -https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BDrlDU-OK9QBV4TChBm6nQlks4JL4Fwv/view?usp=sharing

I understand. To get an idea of how your site is configured, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status, as exemplified here? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Let’s do that, as a first step, and we’ll focus on shipping settings next.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Hi @prashantajani,

To resolve the shipping related issue, you need to create a shipping zone and method for each selected country in your listings.

After you create all the shipping zones and set up the available shipping methods, syncing all the shipping information to Google Merchant Center will automatically resolve this warning.

Additionally, if you have a large number of products, I’d suggest you consider boosting your PHP time limit from 120 to 1200. This simple adjustment can help you sidestep any potential issues related to syncing failures.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi,

I have added shipping zone changes as you have mentioned.

I have also increase time limit to 1200 and also tested memory limit up 8G.

I am still getting error on the logs and page feed tab is not loading and gives same error.

Every time I refresh the Page feed page it gives different error, here is screenshot – https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LCpVTNDrKSPtFrfr3QglZdzngHC1J-gM/view?usp=drive_link

Let me know if I am missing anything else?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I have reviewed the link you mentioned. I used to have Jetpack plugin but I removed it, so on site I don’t have jetpack plugin.

Do I need to have jetpack plugin to make sync and Product feed page to work ?

Also check the log –  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LCpVTNDrKSPtFrfr3QglZdzngHC1J-gM/view?usp=drive_link

I have increased the php time limit and memory limit too, it still shows different error on loading Product feed page.

    Let me know.

    Thanks

    Hi @prashantajani,

That’s a strange issue you’re facing. How about we try starting from scratch? Here’s what you can do:

Once you’ve done that, go ahead and reinstall it. After reinstalling, navigate to Marketing > Google Listings & Ads to set up the connection again.

Furthermore, dont forget to upgrade not only your WordPress and WooCommerce but also any other outdated plugins you may have to the latest version. Also, could you try disabling all other plugins except for Google Listings & Ads and WooCommerce?

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
