• Howdy everyone! I am a BRAND new www.remarpro.com member and I am having some issues with my domain and where it is pointing.

I initially had created an account with WordPress.com and bought a domain (ohbehavery.com) through Squarespace (mistake). Eventually, I realized that I wanted to host my own website through Bluehost and use the hosted www.remarpro.com setup. I updated my Squarespace domain’s nameservers to point to my new www.remarpro.com hosted website. It was still showing my .com website.

I deleted my WordPress.com account hoping it would solve my problem. It hasn’t – well not fully. On mobile. https://www.ohbehavery.com is showing my www.remarpro.com website. On desktop, it is still pointing to a now-deleted WordPress.com website (ohbehavery.wordpress.com).

I know this can seem convoluted but I am just as lost. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks for any help,
    Avery

    Hi there!

From a quick look it does appear that the domain shows a default installation of WordPress on desktop. It could very well be a cached version you are seeing on desktop. One way you can also test this is by using a query string to possibly bust the cache. Something like yourdomain.com/?thiscache=nope and that will potentially show an uncached version of the site.

Hi and thanks for reaching out! We’re sorry to hear you’ve been experiencing issues associated with DNS and recent updates. In doing a quick review, it does appear that the domain is currently in propagation and the DNS is being updated. Chances are that these changes will update soon (usually within 24 – 48 hours) and your site will function as intended. Here are some more details regarding propagation that you may find helpful: https://www.bluehost[.]com/help/article/what-is-dns-propagation

You can check propagation progress at whatsmydns.net. When I checked it’s mostly complete but not entirely yet.
