• We have a problem installing the plugin “Really Simple ssl PRO”. We have already purchased a pro certificate, we already have a key. We can’t install because we have an old version of WordPress, we can’t update it because it could cause the site to malfunction. What can you recommend in this case, can we install an older version so as not to update the WordPress version?

    Hi @nasibjon,

Both the Free and Pro versions of the Really Simple SSL plugin require at least WordPress version 5.8 in order to function correctly.

I wouldn’t personally recommend using outdated versions of WordPress or specific plugins, as that could introduce security risks/vulnerabilities which have already been patched in more recent versions of the software.

But if you have any further questions about the Pro plugin, please reach out to us on https://really-simple-ssl.com/support/. We’re only allowed to discuss the Free plugin on these forums.

    Kind regards, Jarno
