• Hello and good day.

I have a theme which is not compatible with the newest elementor update.

Is there a way to disable elementor from updating?

I have tried every plugin and wp-config configuration but nothing seems to work.

    Hello,

If you would like to prevent Elementor plugin from updating, you can try to check these articles that might help you:
    https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-disable-automatic-updates-in-wordpress/
    https://wpengine.com/resources/disable-auto-update/

Remember, while disabling updates may resolve the immediate issue, it’s generally recommended to keep plugins and themes up to date for security and performance reasons.

To permanently fix this, you can reach out to the theme’s support team and let them know what’s happening so they could ensure compatibility with the latest version of Elementor.

    Hello and good day.

The article you provided goes to a 404 page.

I am using elementor 3.5.6 and have tried everything to stop it from updating.

    Nothing works.

Disabling updates just does not work.

If it’s not working when you click them, you can copy and paste it to the browser as they are working on my end.

That did not work. I implemented all of the suggestions and it is still updating the elementor plugin.

    Hi

Is your current version set to Elementor 3.5.6?

Please note that it is necessary to update Elementor plugin to the latest version. WordPress plugin updates cannot be ignored as there are several security updates that are released by WordPress core and by all the plugins. Ignoring an update for both WordPress or any plugin in the marketplace leaves your site vulnerable.

If your site is on managed hosting then the hosting provder may automatically update WordPress along with the plugins of the site. Please ask your web host to block any auto updates.

Can you please share a screenshot of the Elementor plugin in the Plugin page like I have shown here – https://snipboard.io/y5JNoL.jpg

It should say “Enable auto-updates”, is this showing the same for you for the Elementor plugin?

Again I would insist that you update Elementor plugin and contact the third-party theme’s support team regarding the incompatibility issue that is showing up on your site. This is the best, secure, and recommended approach to solving the issue.
