I need to canonicalize all pagination to itself. Like this page, Yoast is pointing the canonical to the root page, and I want them to be pointing itself instead. Please, I need help ASAP.

    Hi @oltao

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin. The canonical URL tag should reflect the?current?page in the paginated series. However, we have seen unexpected issues where the previously optimized data is invalid or incomplete. Please try the following:

    1. Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
    3. Locate the Yoast SEO section and click on the ‘Reset indexables tables & migrations‘, ‘Reset Prominent words calculation‘, and ‘Reset Internal link counter‘ buttons. After each click, the page will reload to confirm that the specific reset was successful.
    4. Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “Start SEO data optimization” button to allow Yoast to rescan your content.

Please let us know if the reported issue remains after resetting the optimized data.

What happened is that the canonical is working right for archives and categories pagination. But my Latest posts section is created with a page and it has pagination. However, all the paginations for that page alone are pointing to the root page instead of itself. Though when I didn’t get fast response, I’ve disabled Yoast Canonical on the site and created a plugin to handle only the Canonical. Thanks
