• We’re running the latest version of WP but attempts to change PHP version from 7.4 to 8.0 or above fail – the site returns an error.

The error log indicates that it is a problem with the theme. It seems that the theme (Brickyard Premium) has been discontinued so do I need to install another one and redesign the site to get it working on the latest PHP version?

If so which free themes are recommended for a travel blog (would like one that can be updated going forward preferably!) They all seem to be the same looking unless you’re willing to pay (which we did before now the theme doesnt work with PHP 8).
    Thx

  • Hi @atimes2015,

It is unfortunate to hear that the support for your Premium Theme has been discontinued.

In regard to using the latest PHP version for your site, it would be best to find a theme that supports the new PHP version. You may search the themes page of your WP Admin for a number of free and ready to use themes. Just go to Appearance > Themes > Add New Themes, and search for any keyword that suits you.

    Best regards,
    Niko
