• This project has been headed in the wrong direction for a long time, I can only assume it is leadership that is the issue at hand. It’s so bad that Automattic has managed to get themselves banned by Facebook for integration. The Jet products are bloated and overbearing in their scope. And with the Automattic hook into Google partnership they really have falling behind the times. While a quick look at Shopify will find a well managed, designed, and controlled platform for ecommerce, with flawless integration capabilities. While Woo and Automattic essential exercise very little oversight for QA and SLA among their 3rd party developers who do more or less whatever they like without consequence. Probably at this point there is no way to steer the ship in another direction, either Shopify will provide a competitive integration direct to WP or WP will simply become lesser and lesser of a choice for ecommerce.

    I have to disagree with your response as I have just gone through this, the integration corrupts the Facebook Shop metadata and Facebook support is requiring Commerce customers to remove the integration and delete the Shop and setup a new shop from scratch without the integration.

    I was explicitly told by Facebook Commerce support they are no longer supporting new integrations with WooCommerce, honestly looking at the history or technical issues reports and the low rating of the integration, I’m not surprised FB has banned Automattic from doing new integrations. The Automattic project has shot themselves in the foot and done a good job of it.

    Meta (formerly known as “Facebook”) announced its decision to discontinue support for ‘Checkout on another website’ for US merchants, thereby explaining the lack of support for checkout on the WooCommerce site. Meta implemented this change to prioritize the requirement for US merchants to utilize ‘Checkout on Facebook & Instagram.’

    Checkout on another website continues to work for merchants and shops in other regions.

    US merchants can continue utilizing the plugin for Facebook Ads to promote their product catalogs across Facebook platforms.

    Please be assured that we are aware of the upcoming changes and the impact they may have on Woo US merchants. We are actively looking into a solution and will update the documentation as we learn more about Facebook’s plans and how they may impact the use of Facebook for WooCommerce.
