[Plugin: Google Analytics for WordPress] Google Analytics for WordPress Does Not Show in Dashboard W

  • For the record, I have used this plugin successfully on blogs powered by WordPress 2.9.2 however Google Analytics for WordPress Does Not Show in Dashboard WP V 3.0.1. Too bad, because this is a really nice tool when it is working. Anxious to get a resolution for the WP 3.0.1 compatibility issue, (this plugin is not the only one that is incompatible with WP 3.0.1, which is like WordPress’s answer to Windows ME. Why do they fix stuff that is not broken anyway?

  • I just found that too – which is a shame because I’ve used the older version (of this plugin) successfully on many WordPress sites – including V3.0.1

    Todds, I’m running the plugin successfully on literally hundreds of WP 3.0.1 sites, what doesn’t work for you?

    Hi, am have the same problem of GA not showing up in the dashboard. I am currently still running 2.9 (i believe) but installed the recent version of your plug-in. is that the problem?

    There is nothing on the dashboard, to see the stats you’ll have to log in to Google Analytics.

    Wow. I thought I was having problems too. Do you think you could possibly put in the instructions in H1 headings that you have to log in to Google Analytics to see your stats?

    And then, what is the point of this plugin? I have several websites logged with Google Analytics. I already look at Analytics to track these. Really.

    No where on your yoast site or in the instructions on your plugin download page on WP do I see you have to be on Google’s site for stats. Poo Poo!

    @jenngood: The point of the plugin is that it allows you to track a ton of metrics that would normally be very complicated to setup manually in Google Analytics.

    @joostdevalk: I agree with Jenn on the point that you should make it more clear that the plugin doesn’t display stats anywhere in the wp-admin.
