I’ve created a gallery and with the help of a shortcode embedded it on a page.

However, the gallery is also directly accessible for visitors through https://mysite.com/pgc_simply_gallery/gallery-name/.

Is it possible to not have this direct gallery url, so that users can only see it when visiting the page where it is embedded?

Yes, there is a way – to create a gallery directly on the page using the block editor (the built-in WordPress page editor). And if a third-party user does not know this URL (which can be customized), then how will he see this gallery?
