I have a request for you. I would like to create a mega menu on the GeneratePress template and I found your excellent guide (https://docs.generatepress.com/article/building-simple-mega-menu/). I wanted to ask if it’s possible to create a mega menu with elements other than just links. Your guide works perfectly. I just need the mega menu to have, for example, social media links on the left and, on the right, a text block with an address. Or perhaps have links on the left again and an image on the right. Is it possible to accomplish this using your guide? And additionally, can each column have a different color?

See the image for reference: https://ibb.co/zGPrCND

It is for my blog: https://blog.jirivanek.eu, which i built with GeneratePress. Plugin Max Mega Menu doesnt work properly for me.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

For complicated layout of mega menu, we recommend to use an actual mega menu plugin. The solution is just for building a simple mega menu.

Okay. I understand. I have a header created in Elementor using templates in GeneratePress. I tried your megamenu. I added CSS code, created the menu, inserted the CSS class mega-menu into the items, and then set the number of columns using mega-menu-col-3. So, in the CSS class, I have mega-menu mega-menu-col-3. However, the megamenu is still being ignored, and nothing has changed. When I test it on a trial website, it works great. But when the header is in Elementor, where the menu is inserted using their widget, it doesn’t work. I tried adding CSS in Elementor and in the widget using custom CSS (I have Elementor PRO), but still, nothing changed. I don’t know why Elementor is ignoring it.

Our CSS will only work for GP’s default menu system. If you are using Elementor header and their menu widget then you would need to check with their support team.

Thank you for all the quick responses and excellent customer support. I now know I made the right choice when I chose your template. At least I know I would probably search in vain for any faults. In the end, I used the Royal Elementor addon and created a mega menu using this extension. It’s already completed and working great on my Czech version of the website. Many thanks for your time and for pushing me forward.

    Glad we could help ??
