I’m trying to create a booking page for a tiny but 24 hour gym. Would LIKE to get the pro subscription so we can take payments online, but only if this issue can be resolved.

    1. It’s pretty convoluted trying to create the calendar! It’s hard to find what to do in the documentation. There doesn’t seem to be a “Here’s how to create your first calendar” type of thing. Anyway, finally I created a location, employee and assigned hours, then put an employee on a schedule, added a schedule to a page.
    2. That works, however, I need to be able to book for any of the 24 hours. The scheduling form checks that the employee hours have a end time greater than the start time… so it won’t let me add midnight to midnight to the schedule! The most I could get was with a 1 hour gap of midnight to 11pm. I couldn’t even make it 3am to 2am because 2<3.
    3. Is there an alternate way to set it up to get around this if you can’t fix it in the short term?
    4. Also the Calendar page only lists 8am-10pm I think it is. I need all 24 hours.
    5. The other big feature is very specific one you may not intend to support, but is important for us. The customer can buy a subscription for the month, but only one month at a time for a fixed amount. It should expire at the end of each month rather than an ongoing subscription (although the client wants to give a couple grace days)
BUT the customer needs to be able to book the gym any number of times after their payment during the month. They do NOT have to book the gym times at the time of the payment. So they need to be able to sign in and then book a time slot without seeing the payment screen as long as their subscription hasn’t expired.
    6. A final bonus would be for very useful for trainers, etc. who are able to book a slot, but charge their own amount, basically the employee function but they would have a certain percentage of their charge going to the gym instead of a fixed amount. I’m not sure how their client would pay though…. oh – I guess the client would choose the trainer (employee) and then book using the trainer’s schedule, and and the trainer/employee would get paid (100% – gym commission%) and the gym would get their commission. Ideally. Not sure if that kind of functionality would be available in the paid version? I can see a % or a fixed $ amount would be quite useful, including if there was a monthly charge for a salon chair or something, it could all be done in the program.

    Hello there!

Thank you for your interest in our Appointment Booking plugin and thank you for your questions. Let’s try to sort everything out:

    1. First of all, I would like to inform you that at this moment there’s no plugin functionality that allows your guests/website visitors to make bookings on a membership or monthly basis, unfortunately. So the requirement you described in your point #5 is not covered by our plugin at all.

    2. As for the commission, please be informed that employees don’t actually have/use their own payment accounts in our plugin. At this moment there’s an option to configure only one payment account per each payment gateway. So that’s a website admin who receives all payments on a website and there’s no plugin functionality that allows you to create such a “100% – gym commission%” booking flow, I’m afraid.

    3. As for employees’ schedules, yes, you’re right. The maximum duration of employees’ schedules in our plugin is 23 hours and 30 minutes. As for services’ timeslots, they’re generated automatically depending on the duration of your services and your employees’ schedules (working hours). This means that your guests won’t have available timeslots if a service can’t be technically done by an employee (at the end of a shift). In other words, our Appointment Booking plugin doesn’t work 24/7, and employees’ schedules have fixed durations which is why bookings that can’t be fit at the end of each employee’s schedule can’t be made.

Thanks for getting back to me quickly. That does you credit.

Your num 3 response is a very unfortunate limitation. We have to be able to book 11pm-midnight. Other than that, I think we could have lived with the limitations.

I tried to create 55 minute slots by configuring 5 minute intervals, but then the time picker reflected 5 minute slots throughout the day, even when I tried to book the schedule as hours.

Making 2am-3am the “unbookable” time would have likely been okay, but even that doesn’t work due to the simple clock evaluation.

Thank you for your full and timely response however, and if I am working on another site which doesn’t require the 24/7 scheduling, I will keep your plugin in mind!
