problems loading site – "invalid or unsupported form of compression"
-
Please help!
My readers seem to keep having trouble loading my blog site (www.bighoneydog.com) – they keep getting an error message saying:
“The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression
* Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.”
Some of them can load the basic homepage and even blog page but get this error when they try to comment – so I have been losing a lot of readers and comments recently as they try several times, get frustrated and give up.
Why is this happening? How I can I fix it?
I am using the Cloudy Theme which I downloaded from the WordPress gallery. I haven’t done anything to the CSS, template codes, etc – just using it as it is.
However, I HAVE installed some plugins to use in the sidebar. Is it possible that one of the plugins is causing the problem?
I have contacted DreamHost who are hosting the site but they say everything looks good on their end and can’t explain it.
I have gotten this error message myself a couple of times – or the page simply not loading – but I find that if I just refresh the page – and wait for it to load completely before scrolling down, that usually fixes the problem. But of course, I wouldn’t be commenting on the site the way my readers are.
Would be really grateful if anyone can help.
Thank you.
