Resolution Church Template is not as WYSIWIG as I'd like

OK, I’m not a code guy. I’m a visual guy. I can’t stand the code. I often get going on setting up this site then I come to a stopping point and can’t figure things out. I’ll waiting a while and come back to it. I installed the Resolution Church Template. I’m trying to setup the sidebar. It has some things in there that I don’t want there and I want something else there. I want to be able to go in to the admin area and do these things. I have searched the internet and found things to do but it involves going into the editor and messing with code. Is there not an easier way to do this? Is there a plugin that makes it easier for us folks that don’t want to go into the code?
