unwanted pages or in the least page URLs have been created without our knowledge

that doesn’t sound good – but can you supply more details?

Looking at our statistics records, we noticed this type of construct:

https://www.examplesite.com/1-cars-auto-classifieds/make-Bobbie+Kar,/listings.html

or

https://www.examplesite.com/make-Goggomobil,/listings.html

and several others of a similar construct.

Note the comma on each URL.

Each URL render an error 404 and is attached to no content that is contained in our database.
