I’m working on creating a private website to share pictures and videos with family and friends. I know that WP has the setting to tell search engines to ignore the site but that it’s upto the search engine to honor that request. My question is if I set Global Site Access setting in Ultimate Member to Site Accessible to Logged In Users will that prevent crawlers from seeing all posts and pages except my home page, login, registration and password reset pages?

    Hello @donthecon

The Global Site Access: Site accessible to Logged In Users setting can not prevent crawlers from seeing all posts and pages. Search engines can not read posts and pages?directly but can see them in the sitemap.xml.

Turn on the Search engine visibility: Discourage search engines from indexing this site setting on wp-admin > Settings > Reading to completely prevent crawlers from seeing all posts and pages. This setting disables a sitemap.

You can deny searching engines access to the site by adding the robots.txt file to the website root directory with this content:

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /*
