• Hi,

I went to wp-admin/options-permalink.php and selected “Custom Structure”

And entered a websites URL, I thought this would become the location of my new page I just created.

But that obviously did something totally different and now I can’t access my complete blog.

Everytime I go the blog it says:

    Forbidden

You don’t have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Please help

yea – you can’t do that

just ftp to site or use the host’s file manager to delete the .htaccess file
it will be in same folder wordpress is installed in

now go back to set your custom permalinks and use an approved structure

I deleted that and site is now accessible.

But I can’t really take that option back to default?

If I go back to permalinks and try to change that to default, .htacess is regenerated and same problem happens.

now that is strange and shouldn’t happen
are you on a linux or windows server and is mod_rewrite enabled?
    ask host if need be
