    Running troubleshooting mode did not change the behavior (WPP not showing) for me. Nor did the adding of HTML5 in functions.php change the behavior. My theme is a retired Woothemes theme.

    7 hrs ago you updated you already have a patch – I still don’t see it published in WP admin.

    That said 6.4 is causing a lot of trouble – WPtouch is asking all their clients to downgrade WP! Luckily the mobile experience don’t seem affected for me.

    Hi @rosmo01,

    Running troubleshooting mode did not change the behavior (WPP not showing) for me.

    I asked people to follow the troubleshooting instructions in order to figure out what was going on. It wasn’t really necessary to do that anymore after we found out the cause of the issue.

    Nor did the adding of HTML5 in functions.php change the behavior. My theme is a retired Woothemes theme.

    That’s odd. Other people reported that it worked for them, and I was able to confirm that as well on my own testing.

    Are you sure you added that code snippet to the right place? (According to the source code of your site, it should be /wp-content/themes/aperture_2021.11.1/functions.php).

    Also, since you’re using WP Rocket, did you clear WP Rocket’s page cache after adding the code snippet to your theme’s functions.php file?

    7 hrs ago you updated you already have a patch – I still don’t see it published in WP admin.

    That’s correct, there’s already a patch available on the development version of the plugin. You haven’t seen it available on your WP Dashboard because I haven’t released version 6.3.4 just yet.

    Thank you for the recap, as that made me re-check and find that I updated the theme functions.php for the version that was not active.

    Hi @hcabrera,

    It appears this is only working for Firefox, as in all other browsers (tried Chrome, Vivaldi, Opera, Brave) there is no data displayed. So why no issue in Firefox?

    Hey @rosmo01,

    Just had a look and your current issue isn’t really related to the problem you originally posted here for, you should have opened a new topic instead. Please avoid reviving threads marked as resolved unless you have a good reason to do so (eg. you’re 100% sure that a problem you were having before is back, and it’s indeed the exact same issue).

    With that being said, I have no idea what’s causing this particular problem. I had a look at your website right now and was able to confirm what you said: views are being tracked normally on Firefox but not on Google Chrome and possibly other browsers as well.

    On Google Chrome I’m seeing an HTTP 403 Forbidden response whenever the plugin attempts to communicate with your server to save views data, and it says this:

    {
        "code": "rest_cookie_invalid_nonce",
        "message": "Cookie check failed",
        "data": {
            "status": 403
        }
    }

    You have something on your site -a conflict with one of your other plugins most likely- preventing WordPress Popular Posts from doing its job. What that “something” is you need to figure out, maybe these troubleshooting instructions can help pinpoint the source of the issue.
