Permalinks and link problems

  • Hello,

    I just installed WP. I installed WP in peppersoftexas.com/blog/, but find that all my links point to my home page of peppersoftexas.com. I added a post and it to just goes to the same link.

    I’ve read a lot about permalinks and am thinking I should change my permalink structure to /%category%/%postname%/. However, will this solve my problem of all my links pointing to my home page? And will this put all the links into my root directory rather than my /blog/ directory?

    I started to make the change, but then it also wanted me to change my webconfig file. I’m a little afraid of changing my webconfig file as I am also using pdShop for my shopping cart and the webconfig file was set up for pdShop. pdShop is located in a sub-directory of /shop/.

    As you can tell, I have no idea what I’m doing! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
