    Hello,

I use the perfmatters plugin for optimisation purposes on my website.

The speed status of my website is very good. but on some pages the loading time is delayed for a few seconds even though the cache is active.

When I checked this problem, I detected a broken css problem.

that is, when logging in to some pages, the used.css files created by perfmatters cannot be loaded / opened. in this case, it extends the loading time of the page.

i sent this problem to abc support team. and they gave me the following answer:

One is Wordfence is blocking some of them. They are getting a 503 error from Wordfence. So I would check and see how to whitelist or unblock Perfmatters CSS files from Wordfence. You might need to reach out to them.

they also shared this picture: https://ibb.co/wNH1vD5

when i look at the source code on any faulty page, a file similar to the one below is created, but as i said, the file cannot be opened or loaded.

    https://www.sitename.com/wp-content/cache/perfmatters/www.sitename.com/css/page-48245.used.css

how can you help me with the problem i mentioned? what i need to do. i would like your support.

Hi @aga2442, thanks for getting in touch.

The reason for the Wordfence 503 in the screenshot above translates from Turkish to Manual block by administrator. This means a firewall rule or false-positive by Wordfence itself isn’t happening on your cached files. This message normally means your (or the tester’s) IP falls into a range or is specifically an IP you’ve manually blocked at some point in Wordfence > Blocking.

I would check that page and ensure you’re not blocking a huge range of IP addresses manually, or even mistakenly blocking an IP from your host, one used by a plugin, or even in some cases your own site’s IP.

    Thanks,
    Peter.

@wfpeter Thank you for your support.

as I mentioned in my previous message, I am facing the problem that the used.css file does not occur or does not appear.

maybe I misrepresented the message that the perfmatters developers told you.

please ignore the message I sent. can you help me with this?

Could wordfence be the reason why used.css files cannot be created or shown to the visitor?

if so, how can I disable it?

Hi @aga2442, thanks for the clarification. Sorry if I misunderstood, I thought the block was the return code from attempting to load the used.css file.

If you don’t see reference to a Perfmatters file/operation, or the CSS file specifically in your Live Traffic, it may not be Wordfence stopping it. There is a chance that the way this file is being loaded could be false-positive blocked but temporarily activating Learning Mode could help with that. If you try loading a page that would use the file while Learning Mode is active, see if it works. If it doesn’t, the issue may be elsewhere but if it does, see if it continues to load correctly after returning the firewall back to “Enabled and Protecting” too.

    Thanks,
    Peter.
