Display Comments after Comments Closed?

  • My question is how do I close comments, but still be able to display the ones written before I closed them for my readers? Thank you.

  • Just untick “Allow comments” on the post’s Edit page.

    Thank you for the reply, but when I do, they disappear and I get the “comments closed” text, but no comments.

    That sounds like there’s an issue in your current theme. Try switching to the TwentyTen theme to confirm that it’s theme-specific problem.

    Thank you for the help, and yes it was a problem with my custom comment function I wrote to over-ride the default. I forgot to print the comment entries after I querried for them before ending the if/else statement, lol.
