A customer reported not being able to complete a purchase at checkout and getting a message saying “The Google reCaptcha token is missing.”

I’ve run into this error myself from time to time when testing on the development site.

What is going on and how can I ensure this doesn’t block orders?

    Here’s my settings:

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the message.

The screenshot you provided is not from this specific “reCAPTCHA for WooCommerce” plugin. It looks like you are using a different plugin, so you will need to contact their support regarding this issue.

Anybody thinking that we can put a captcha at checkout is totally wrong.
It will ALWAYS block some people and it’s plain stupid to even propose the option. Do you see a Captcha on Amazon checkout ? Do not ask if a checkout captcha blocks orders, just UNDERSTAND that it will always block some orders and customers.

Our payment processor insists on it.

Is there a better way to prevent fraudulent transactions being submitted?
