Stripe credit card fields not working

    Hi, I can’t seem to get my credit card fields usable on my checkout page for Stripe and I’m not sure what’s the issue. A really thin line shows up instead of a usable form field and it’s not clickable. It’s the case for both desktop and mobile view.

    The API was already working and this has just been a recent thing. All the site is up to date. I’ve checked API keys and all good. Not sure what is causing this. I seen someone mentioned a confliction with WP fastest cache. I’ve removed that and still no joy.

    • System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.
    • Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

    I am also having this issue as of this morning.

    It seems like Apple users are not experiencing the issue, but most Chrome or MS Edge users are.

    More details – we have stripe and paypal payment methods, if a user loads the page with Stripe already selected/expanded – they can fill in the CC# field, but if they start with PayPal selected, and then switch to stripe (expanding the stripe field) – then the CC field cannot be entered.

    Similarly, if one starts with Stripe field expanded, then switches to PayPal, then re-expands Stripe fields, the CC field cannot be filled.

    I started a new thread for my own version of this problem – thank you for any help.

    Thank you for sharing your system status.

    I visited your checkout page and seems like not all Stripe scripts are loading.

    I’ve seen this issue with certain themes before. I suggest you first start by switching to the default Storefront theme. If that doesn’t help, then please try disabling all plugins except WooCommerce and Stripe as well.

    If the problem is not present after doing so, this means the problem was a result of a plugin conflict. You can enable plugins one by one again to find the culprit.

    Hi Saif,

    The plugins and theme was my first go to. No joy. Even with all plugins deactivated and swapped to storefront theme. All was running smoothly, not sure why its suddenly stopped working.

    Thanks for sharing the screenshot and confirming that even after switching to the default Storefront theme and all plugins are deactivated, the issue still persists.

    Howdie,

    I asked a fixed.net to take a look at it. They managed to fix it so thought I would share the fix.

    “It was content security policy restrictions in the .htaccess file.”

    So if you make a copy of your .htaccess file as a precatuion. Delete it. Log in to your dashboard, Go to “Settings >> Permalinks and click save. That recreated the .htaccess file.

    That should work. ??
