User that subscribe do not get added to list

    I have added a subscription option to join our newsletter on the checkout page. However, when users tick that box, they do not get added to the list which means they are unable to receive any emails?

    Hi there @miyagibonsai,

    By default, the opt-in checkbox on the WooCommerce Checkout page would add the subscriber to the “WooCommerce Customers” list. However you can also set it to add to other lists under MailPoet > Settings > WooCommerce with the “Opt-in on checkout” setting. More info about the setting here: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/385-adding-an-opt-in-checkbox-to-the-woocommerce-checkout-page

    Please note also that subscribers would need to confirm their subscription before emails will be sent to them. Emails you’ve created in MailPoet will only send to them once their status has changed to “Subscribed” after confirming their subscription.

    Appreciate the response! Those settings have all been configured.

    I noticed I didn’t configure the Sender Domain on Mailpoet, which is now complete.

    After more testing. I am getting the error: “There was a problem with your sending method. Please check if your sending method is properly configured.”

    I checked the log files and got the following error: cron [2023-11-07T19:32:14.752463+00:00] cron.ERROR: Sending has been paused. {“error”:”[object] (Exception(code: 0): Sending has been paused. at /home/c673…

    It looks like I have a cron issue, do you know if this is a common issue you will be able to help with?

    It indeed seems like your site is potentially having WP Cron issues. To double-check this, could you please send me a copy of your site’s System Status?

    You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for Support” (after you scroll down a bit)”. Once done, please share it here.

    Thanks for the status report. We reviewed your domain and the emails being sent. We found that you managed to send a couple of emails on the 13th and 14th of Nov.
    It does look like the emails are working as expected.
    Could you confirm if the emails work as expected?

    Hello,

    I have done further testing and can confirm I do not receive emails from MailPoet.

    I have a Welcome email setup. However, when doing a test order or creating an account I do not receive the email. The welcome email is setup to send the email immediately when the users join the mailing list “…”. Both the checkout page & create account page tick boxes are set to join that mailing list.

    Not sure why it isn’t working. Hope you will be able to help.

    So, if I get it correctly, other subscribers are receiving the newsletter, but your own email is not?

    Your welcome emails may not be sent for various reasons. We have a guide here that can help:?https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/360-troubleshooting-welcome-emails

    If other subscribers are receiving the welcome emails, that would mean they are working.

    Hello,

    Sorry for keep coming back with a different issue. I have done some more testing and the following occurs:
    Users do get added to correct group
    Users do receive the emails

    The reason why I originally didn’t receive any emails when testing is because I didn’t confirm my subscription.

    However, the issue is that my MailPoet emails are appearing in the spam folder but order confirmation emails sent via SMTP are going directly to the inbox. How can I enable my MailPoet emails to be directed to user inboxes and not spam?

    Hello Feten,

    I completed the guide. The issue I am having is the mail tester is unable to locate my DKIM. This doesn’t make sense as on “My Sender Domains” within MailPoet admin, all my DNS records are verified.

    Spam test results came back 7.8/10, which I guess doesn’t seem that bad. Once the DKIM is fixed it will become 8.8/10.

    I’ve checked whatsmydns.net for your site’s DNS entries and I’ve not been able to find any of them. Can you try verifying your DNS settings again, as you may need to reset them.
