Adding custom fields to a taxonomy

I have created a custom taxonomy and all is working well, but I’d like to add a couple of custom fields in order to display additional information (let’s say two text fields called Website and Twitter). I know how to add custom fields to a custom post type – how can I do the same for a taxonomy?
