I have just noticed that the expiration date for a subscription is not using the date set in my WordPress settings.

My WordPress timezone is set to Auckland/Pacific.

    Server is UTC.

When I make a post, it posts using my Timezone of Auckland, so all is working correctly.

But I have been testing user subscriptions.

Today is 31st October 2023, when I change the test users’ expiration date of their subscription to 30th October 2023, they can still see content. They should not be able to still see content. As the 30th was yesterday.

If I change it to 29th October 2023, it restricts content.

    How do I fix this?

I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Angela

    Hi @pulsemedianz,

    1. Could you please go to your site’s Dashboard -> Plugins -> Installed Plugins -> and let us know the current version of the Paid Member Subscriptions plugin?

    2. Could you please go to the WordPress Dashboard -> Paid Member Subscriptions -> Members page, hover your mouse cursor over the member (with which you have encountered this issue), and click on the Edit Member link that appears? Once you are on the Edit Member page click on the “Edit” button from the Subscription tab and please take a screenshot of the Subscription Logs.

You can see here: https://www.cozmoslabs.com/docs/paid-member-subscriptions/member-management/#Subscription_Logs an example of how the Subscription Logs should look.

Please make sure that all the information from the Subscription Logs text area can be seen.

You can use a site like https://snipboard.io/ to share the screenshots.

I think I know what I was doing wrong, I put the subscription as active, manually. This was my test user when I was testing things before importing our existing subscribers.

Replicating the issue, and changing the status to expired today – the content is not shown.

I am assuming that when a customer’s plan reaches its expiration date, it automatically changes that status to expired.

    I think i have had a long week ??

    Hi @pulsemedianz,

Exactly, when the subscription reaches the expiration date, then the status of the plan will also automatically change to Expired.

Hope you have an amazing weekend ahead!

    Kind regards,
