After an auto-update my site is showing the following when you go to the website:

  • Hi there ??

Welcome to WooCommerce Support. I’d be happy to help you with this.

    Fatal Error after auto-update

As a first step, I went ahead with visiting the site at smithgoldsmith.com, and I was not able to notice said error in any product/Cart/Checkout page that I visited. Below, I am attaching a screenshot, for reference.

Just to clarify, did you already have a chance to test with temporarily switching to the Storefront theme (linked here), and with only WooCommerce and Braintree for WooCommerce Payment Gateway plugins activated, and see if the issue persists, or otherwise?

We await your response to better assist you.

Thank you for your response. I had disabled the Braintree plugin by renaming the folder because deactivating the plugin in the WordPress dashboard wasn’t changing anything. Once I did that, the plugin was disabled and the site would load properly, although I didn’t have any payment capabilities. Today, I activated the Braintree plugin by renaming the plugin folder back to its original name and the site worked fine. I have no idea why. I have since been able to update all plugins and themes and fingers crossed it continues to work!
