I’ve tried with different browsers (Mozilla Firefox and Edge), I’ve tried deleting cookies/caches ect… But it just doesn’t work anymore, only if you are logged in.
When you aren’t logged in, you can fill the comment form but, when you try to send the comment, the button doesn’t do anything… Those “loading bars” appear on the top-right corner of the page, but then nothing happens.

Before last update, everything worked as usual; I hope I’ve explained well the issue, english isn’t my first language ??

    Thank you!

Sorry, it doesn’t let me edit the first post…

I’ve just tried to disable all other plugins and changing the theme, but the issue is still there… So it shouldn’t be a “conflict” problem.

What’s the URL of a page where the problem can be seen?

Is there anything in the browser console that seems related?

    Hi @klapauc1us,
Leave the URL of the page where the problem occurred, please.

Ok, it seems that the problem lies with my hosting provider “Altervista”, which uses a “custom wordpress”.
They have 2 plans, one that lets you do whatever you like (and, there, I’ve manually installed the latest version of WordPress… and wpdiscuz works!) and the other plan has the “customized/optimized wordpress” and unlimited space/bandwith etc (and this is the plan I’m using).
    Link that explains this: https://en.altervista.org/create-free-site.php

I’ll get in contact with their support as well; right now, I just know that version 7.6.10 still works perfectly fine (so it seems that they haven’t changed anything regarding their custom wordpress).

As regards the “browser console” (the one that pops out if I click “Control + Shift + J”, right?), it says:

    On Firefox

    <empty string> wpdiscuz-combo.min.js:10:18873

    On Edge

    POST ./wp-admin/admin-ajax.php 403 (Forbidden)

    send @ jquery.min.js?ver=3.7.0:2
    ajax @ jquery.min.js?ver=3.7.0:2
    (anonymous) @ jquery-migrate.min.js?ver=3.4.1:2
    e. @ jquery-migrate.min.js?ver=3.4.1:2
    eh @ wpdiscuz-combo.min.js?ver=7.6.11:10
    q @ wpdiscuz-combo.min.js?ver=7.6.11:10
    (anonymous) @ wpdiscuz-combo.min.js?ver=7.6.11:10
    dispatch @ jquery.min.js?ver=3.7.0:2
    v.handle @ jquery.min.js?ver=3.7.0:2

                         wpdiscuz-combo.min.js?ver=7.6.11:10

    Hi @klapauc1us,

    POST ./wp-admin/admin-ajax.php 403 (Forbidden) send @ jquery.min.js?ver=3.7.0:2 ajax @ jquery.min.js?ver=3.7.0:2 (anonymous) @ jquery-migrate.min.js?ver=3.4.1:2 e. @ jquery-migrate.min.js?ver=3.4.1:2 eh @ wpdiscuz-combo.min.js?ver=7.6.11:10 q @ wpdiscuz-combo.min.js?ver=7.6.11:10 (anonymous) @ wpdiscuz-combo.min.js?ver=7.6.11:10 dispatch @ jquery.min.js?ver=3.7.0:2 v.handle @ jquery.min.js?ver=3.7.0:2 wpdiscuz-combo.min.js?ver=7.6.11:10

Probably requests from the front end of the website to the admin-ajax.php are disabled, can you please switch to wpDiscuz’s custom ajax or ask your hosting provider to check if admin-ajax.php is accessible and re-check?

Their support told me that the problem is this: their wordpress has already a captcha integrated into the comment system and that’s what causes the conflict.

I guess since wpdiscuz is based on the wordpress comment system, although the “original” doesn’t appear on the front end, its functions are still there… so even if I don’t have the captcha activated into the wpdiscuz comment form, their wordpress act as if it’s there.

I’ve tried to use the recaptcha settings of wpdiscuz to see if it overwrites their captcha, but it doesn’t do anything. It’s there but you can’t send the comment.

What I don’t get is why the conflict appears only after version 7.6.10 of the plugin, since their captcha was already there and wasn’t a problem at all…
