After update other blocks crash!

  • It was a great plugin, until the blocks crashed when highlighting a special character. Now with the new Update (1.1.0) it says “Fixed:?Ensure that when highlighting a special character, the block doesn’t crash (props?@jrmd,?@dkotter?via?#204).”

    That might be true. But now all other blocks I want to do changes to, especially Spectra Blocks, crash when clicking on them. The problem could be solved by deactivating “Insert Special Characters” plugin. Whatever you fixed, you did something wrong.

    Thanks for the report @roxxiesixx. I was able to reproduce this myself with the Spectra Blocks plugin and have a PR up on GitHub to fix this: https://github.com/10up/insert-special-characters/pull/220

    Also, are you seeing this same issue with any other blocks? I’ve not been able to reproduce the problem with any of the Core WordPress blocks, just with the Spectra Blocks. But curious if you’re seeing issues with other blocks.

    hi @dkotter, I only had the issues with the Spectra Blocks.

    I just saw, that there is an already an update which I will download and really hope it fixes the issue. No, I don’t have GitHub, but I am glad, the report got to you this way and it (hopefully) could get fixed. ??

    Update: The update 1.1.1 did fix the crashing of other blocks. Thanks for the fast solution.
