Hi, thank you for this awesome plugin.

I want to paginate my wordpress comments to improve page load speed, and also make sure that the comments in all the subsequent pages are indexed by Google without any SEO risks.

I have read the following article many times, but still I could not figure out how AIOSEO can help me to do this?

I would be grateful for any relevant suggestions from your experts.

    Kind Regards

    Swag

    Hi @swagatam1975,

    Thanks for reaching out!

There are 2 completely different things here that you’ll need to do to get the desired output –

    1. Paginate comments –

This isn’t something that AIOSEO does as it’s fully handled by your WordPress website. You can easily paginate the comments by following this WPBeginner guide –

    https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-paginate-comments-in-wordpress/

    2. Make paginated comments indexable –

To do this, please go to All in One SEO > Search Appearance > Advanced tab, disable the Use Default Settings toggle for the Global Robots Meta setting and uncheck the No Index Paginated option followed by clicking on the Save Changes button.

With that said, could you confirm why you want to index the comments? Paginated comment pages can present duplicate content to search engines since the post content would remain exactly the same.

We recommend setting the paginated pages to Noindex so that Google only indexes the main/first page of the paginated series.

If all the paginated pages are indexed, this might lead to one of the paginated page rank higher than the actual main page – which you might not want.

With that said, it’s important to note that setting the paginated pages to Noindex or Nofollow doesn’t, in any manner, block Google from crawling or indexing the content listed on those paginated pages – its just that Google would not index the paginated page itself.

    Here’s a guide with more details:?https://aioseo.com/docs/setting-noindex-and-nofollow-on-paginated-content/

Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!
