No GA4 data is shown in the plugin dashboard
-
I configured the plugin and after switching to GA4 it stopped showing data. The Plugin is updated to the latest version but still does not show the GA4 data even if it is active and on Google Analytics I see all the correct data. Can you help me solve the problem? Thank you

Thanks for reaching out @cristiano1997. When you mention you switched to GA4, was this on a property that had no data yet? Site Kit pulls information from a users Google Analytics account, so if you’re not seeing any data yet you may see a notice regarding this. So we can determine more on on this, please share the following:
- Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.??
- What do you see on the Site Kit dashboard at present where your Analytics data should appear? By that I mean do you see a gathering data notice, an error or something else?
You’ll find out more on how Analytics works within Site Kit using this guide.
Let me know if you have any questions with the above.
I sent the information via form. On site kit I don’t see any errors. Only at the top does it say “The traffic is not yet sufficient to view the statistics”, but I can see the data from Analytics. I think it takes Universal data and not GA4, but the configuration seems right to me.
We got exactly the same problem, plugin has been reinstalled, we are using the latest version, we made sure that UA tracking code is not included. For some reason there is no Analytics data and it seems to take data from UA rather than GA4.
Thanks for sharing the additional information @cristiano1997. If you’re encountering a “The traffic is not yet sufficient to view the statistics” message this indicates that it’s just a matter of time before there is data to report on for your site. This is normal if you’ve just switched to GA4, and you’ll find a guide on this below:
https://sitekit.withgoogle.com/documentation/using-site-kit/using-the-site-kit-dashboard/I checked the tagassistant.google.com service and I can confirm that site visits to your site are recording on the connected GA4 property.
@kamilms21 If you’d like to open an individual support topic we can communicate with you from there. Please include any details relevant to what you’re experiencing. This may include sharing your Site Health information and a mention of what you see within the Site Kit dashboard.
Hi James, I have not just made the switch to GA4, but it has been active since May 2023. As you can see from the screenshots I submitted with the google form, the data has been collected for some time, but is not shown on Site Kit.
Appreciate the update @cristiano1997, the screenshots are of great use. In that case, can you perform the following steps:
- Disconnect the Google Analytic module within Site Kit (Site Kit > Settings > Analytics > Edit > Disconnect Analytics from Site Kit). Before doing so, take a note of the GA4 property.
- Connect Analytics once more
- If the issue remains when accessing your site over a chrome browser incognito window, share any browser console errors that appear on the Site Kit dashboard, along with what you see from Analytics when clicking on the “Source: Analytics” link within the Site Kit dashboard.
Let me know if you have any questions with the above.
I did as you said, unplugged Analytics and then reconnected. Even in incognito I have no errors except the usual writing: “The traffic is not yet sufficient to view the statistics”.
When I click on the “Source: Analytics” the Universal property opens. Thanks for the update @cristiano1997. In that case, from the Analytics platform directly (https://www.analytics.google.com), can you navigate to the property you have connected within Site Kit (G-5****N5ZCV) and share a screenshot of what you see?
You may wish to use a Chrome browser incognito window to ensure you are logging into Analytics using the same Google account used to set up Site Kit.
A screenshot, or details on whether you do see traffic, will help to determine any issues with the message you see within Site Kit. We’re trying to determine is there existing data for this GA4 property.
Let me know if you have any questions with the above.
That’s not the measurement ID linked to Site Kit, but another GA4: G-6****5T4F3.
I have two and they both read data, maybe that’s the problem?Screenshot of G-5****N5ZCV property: https://ibb.co/DVQ4Ymz
Thanks for the update @cristiano1997, and you’re correct. It looks like you have a separate GA4 property added to your site. This is added via Tag Manager, which is why it appeared to be the one reflecting when checking tagassistant.google.com.
With regards as to why Site Kit is not displaying data for the property connected within Site Kit (G-6E????????), this may be as there is no data for this property. The screenshot you provided does show data from Analytics for the Tag Manager inserted GA4 property only. If you wish to switch to this property, you can do so if you wish, by editing your Analytics settings within Site Kit.
Alternaltey, can you check Analytics once more, this time checking for data for the Site Kit connected GA4 property (G-6E????????). Note that this property does have some additions when I check your sites source code, with some classes added via your iubenda plugin. This may be the cause of data not being recorded.
Let me know if you wish to switch your property within Site Kit and you need assistance (to the property that has data). If you’re certain you have data for the current Site Kit connected property, feel free to share a screenshot of what you see for this property from analytics.google.com. Thank you!
the GA4 property G-6E???????? also collects data, see the screenshot: https://ibb.co/dWb8vRT.
I don’t understand how I can see the data in Site Kit.
I also tried to change the property and use the G-5****N5ZCV property and the data still isn’t shown.
Sorry to hear that @cristiano1997.
I also tried to change the property and use the G-5****N5ZCV property and the data still isn’t shown.
In that case I’ll need to check this with the team. If data is appearing on the Analytics platform but not within Site Kit, there may be some impacting reporting. In order for me to check this with the team, can you share a screen recording of your experience, which exhibits the following:
- Your Site Kit dashboard
- Your experience clicking on the “Source: Analytics” link within the Site Kit dashboard
- What you see on the analytics platform after that link opens
You can use a service such as Loom or RecordIt to share a screen recording, while using the same form previously used to share this privately.?
Let me know if you have any questions with the above.
Recordings sent by the form
Thanks for sharing @cristiano1997. I reviewed the recording, however, it only goes as far as the notice within the Site Kit dashboard. Can you provide a recording that shows what you’re seeing when clicking on the “Source: Analytics” link so we can view where you’re directed to, and that stats shown?
sorry, I sent another recording
