• Hello, we are a non-profit using LearnPress for some online courses and were wondering if there was a way to make the LearnPress courses non-taxable. Since these online courses are not tangible we are finding that most states do not require tax to be charged on them. Thank you in advance and look forward to hearing back from you.

Thank you for the reply but the problem is if you have a sales tax rule created in WooCommerce, there is no way to exclude the LearnPress course items from that sales tax rule. For regular WooCommerce items you can mark them as non-taxable so they are excluded from the sales tax rules, however there is no field for this on the LearnPress items. How can we exclude the LearnPress course items from sales tax rules created in WooCommerce?

If you embed the course of LearnPress into the product, the course will not have the tax. Do you use our LearnPress Woo add-on?

Not sure that I am familiar with how to embed the course of LearnPress into the product. We created the courses and lessons in the LearnPress section of our admin. Yes, we do use the ‘LearnPress’WooCommerce Add-On for LearnPress’. Are there instructions somewhere on how to embed the course into a product?

Thank you for the reply but the option that is shown in the guide for “Buy courses via product” (https://www.fpspimart.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/screenshot2.jpg) is not displaying as an option to select. See screenshot (https://www.fpspimart.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/screenshot.jpg).

Please be sure your Woocommerce add-on for LearnPress is the latest version, I think your version is old.

Thank you, I have logged into my Thimpress account to get the purchase code values for each add-on. However when I input the purchase code values from my account, which I can verify are still active, the add-on update shows a green success message but does not actually update the add-on. I then press the other “Update” button for the add-ons and it gives me an error stating the purchase code is invalid. I can verify that they are valid from my account. What can I do to get them to update?

Thank you, I was able to finally figure out how to update the add-ons. I had to log into my thimpress account and download the new versions of the add-ons there. Then I loaded them into my plugins section and they updated. I now see the setting option to purchase as item.
